In March 2013, avid cyclist and CEO of African Wildlife Safaris Steve Cameron will be escorting a group to South Africa to take part in South Africa’s famous 110 km Cape Argus Cycle Tour. The annual event is the largest race in the world, with around 39,000 participants.

Following the race we continue on a 1,000km ride over 8 days, taking in South Africa’s famous winelands area and the spectacular Garden Route to East London. This exciting bike tour will suit keen cyclists of all ages. At the conclusion of the ride it will be an ideal opportunity for non-cycling partners to arrive in Africa and continue on a gameviewing safari.

Steve Cameron

Steve Cameron is the co-founder and CEO of African Wildlife Safaris (AWS). Steve has been cycling since his teens and has been riding up and down Melbourne’s famous Beach Road for the past 25 years. The distinctive AWS Team kit is a well-known sight amongst Beach Road’s cycling fraternity. Steve is a keen cyclist and currently races B Grade Vets and C Grade Open, as well as competing in Masters races at State and National level.

 

Ken Hill

Ken Hill is a co-founder of Drifters Adventours. After many years off the bike Ken returned to cycling about 15 years ago and has since resumed racing and is very competitive in the various veteran categories. Ken has conducted numerous cycle tours and is very much aware of cyclist’s specific needs with regard to touring. With his experience Ken prides himself on designing and delivering the ultimate in cycling tours.
