Climate:
Kenya has a temperate climate (22°- 25°C) due to high altitude but hot in low-lying areas like the Rift Valley (30°- 35°C). “Long rains” take place in Apr/May, whilst “short rains” occur in mid-Oct to mid-Dec. In Egypt Cairo has a milder climate than the southern part, however temperatures between May-Oct reach 30°-36°C. The rest of the year is warm to mild, and it can get quite cold at night over the winter months. Luxor and Aswan experience hot weather from Mar-Nov (30°-42°C) and the rest of the year is hot. Nights are cool in winter and hot in summer (24°-26°C).
